LVN to RN (Career Ladder) Nursing Option
Licensed Vocational Nurse to Registered Nurse
The LVN to RN (Career Ladder) option is for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who wishes to become a Registered Nurse (RN). The program will prepare you with the additional theoretical and clinical skills to qualify you for an Associate Degree in Nursing and allow you to take the NCLEX-RN exam for licensure to work as a Registered Nurse.

Associate Degree in Nursing with a Certificate of Achievement in Registered Nursing and eligibility for the National Council Licensing Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).
- Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
About the Career Ladder Option
The LVN to RN (Career Ladder) Option is a three-semester option that provides students who are Licensed Vocational Nurses with the additional coursework to become a qualified Registered Nurse. September 1 to September 15 Admission to the program will begin with the first course, N210 Nursing Role Transition, in the Fall 2021 semester.
January 1 - January 15 Admission to the program will begin with the first course, N210 Nursing Role Transition, in the Summer 2022 intersession.
