Important Information
This year’s Commencement Ceremony will honor graduates from Summer 2024, Fall 2024, and candidates for Spring 2025.
Summer 2025 graduates who have 1 to 2 courses remaining to complete during the summer session are allowed to participate in the ceremony.
However, a copy of the Summer 2025 graduation petition is required to verify your status. Please note that your name will not appear in the official program, but it will be announced during the ceremony.

Each graduate must:

Purchase Your Cap and Gown
Cap and gowns can be purchased online for $65.00 until MAY 4th at herff.ly/pasadena
After May 4th, additonal charges may apply for online orders.
Cap and gowns can be purchased in the bookstore starting in EARLY MARCH until Monday, June 9, 2025

Guest Tickets to Attend
Ticket information coming Soon.
- Entrance and seating for guest will be with a valid ticket only. Guests will be allowed in the stadium at 5:00 p.m.
- PARKING IS FREE and available on the 3rd level and above on Lot 5 on Bonnie Ave. and Lot 4 on Del Mar/Hill Ave

Weather
This event is rain or shine. While rain is not in the forecast, please be prepared.
Where do friends/family/guests go?
Guests will access their seats through the West entrance to Robinson Stadium, near
Lot 4.
All guests must show a valid ticket or they will not be admitted to the event.
Parking
The most convenient parking for guests is Lot 4, but all lots will be open for free parking.
Bag check
Prior to entering the venue, all bags will be searched by PCC personnel. The following
items are prohibited to bring into the stadium venue, so please leave them in your
car or at home:
Prohibited Items:
- Air horns
- Alcoholic beverages of any kind
- Backpacks, purses or bags with dimensions larger than 16″ x 16″ x 8″
- Balloons
- Banners or flags
- Beach balls or any other inflatables
- Cannabis or cannabis products
- Firecrackers/fireworks
- Glass bottles and cans
- Hard-sided coolers and thermoses
- Illegal drugs of any kind
- Knives with blade longer than 3”
- Laser pointers
- Masks not intended for medical use
- Musical instruments
- Pets
- Poles of any length
- Selfie sticks
- Stereos, boomboxes, or other producers of amplified sound
- Umbrellas
- Unmanned aerial vehicles or drones
- Weapons of any kind
- Whistles
- Other items at the discretion of Pasadena City College personnel

Instructions for Returning Your Attire
The Collegiate Cap and Gown Company, from which we rent your academic apparel, has asked that the caps, gowns and hoods be returned immediately after the reception that follows the commencement exercises, Friday evening, June 13, 2025.
You may return your academic attire to the GM Building Lobby.

Frequently Asked Questions about Commencement (FAQs)
While used interchangeably, "graduation" refers to the completion of academic requirements and the awarding of a degree, while "commencement" is the ceremony that celebrates those awards and is often referred to as ‘walking’.
Petition to graduate! The form can be found on the Commencement Webpage. If you would like to review this process with someone, reach out to your Success Coach, every student has one assigned to them, you find this info in your PCC Connect. If you have external transcripts, you will have to make an appointment with an Academic Counselor to petition to graduate.
No, once you submit your petition it gets reviewed for accuracy. You will receive an email soon after either asking you to visit a Success Coach or Academic Counselor for more information, or to indicate your participation in the Commencement Ceremony. Please allow a few days for this review process.
Yes! Students who were enrolled in the 2024/2025 academic year can still petition to graduate and participate in commencement. (2024/2025 Academic year = Summer & Fall 2024, Winter & Spring 2025).
If you have 1-2 classes left to take in Summer 2025, you can still participate in this Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony, but you will not be listed in the program until next academic year’s Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony.
The capacity of the stadium allows for 4 ticketed guests per graduating student only. Any additional guests will be redirected to the streaming auditoriums on campus.
Grad Fest is a day for you to do the following:
- Pick up your academic honors stoles and cords in the Office of Student Life CC105.
- Order your cap & gown at the bookstore.
- Order memorabilia like printed announcements, class rings, and graduation photo packages from vendors who will be present in the bookstore.
- All students who order their cap & gown via PCC will receive a silver stole. Gold stoles are provided to students who meet certain academic requirements, Please see your success coach or academic counselor to confirm your standing.
- You can either buy non-PCC program stoles at the bookstore, or they can be provided to you via the cultural graduations you participate in. Please see the Commencement Webpage for more information about Cultural Graduations.
Graduates who have a cumulative GPA of 3.67 or above.
- If students have already purchased their cap and gown, they may come exchange their silver stole for their gold stole in the Office of Student Life (OSL). Students may exchange their stole May 29th at Grad Fest.
- To confirm your GPA status, please visit your Success Coach.
Cords are awarded to graduates who earned a GPA of 4.0 thus receiving Highest Honors. Cords and stoles can be provided during Grad Fest by visiting the Office of Student Life, CC 105, OR if you plan on attending the Highest Honors reception the day of graduation.
If you qualify for Highest Honors, an email will be sent to your student email with more information about the Highest Honors Pre-Commencement Reception.
