Since 1924, Pasadena City College has provided the San Gabriel Valley with a high-quality, innovative learning environment that inspires student success.

Each semester PCC serves 26,100+ students, including international students from 70 different countries. Our academic programs encompass a variety of degrees, transfer programs, certificates of achievement, and occupational skills certificates that challenge students and support progress toward their goals.

Widely recognized as a transfer leader, PCC is one of California’s top schools for transfers to local universities, including the CSU and UC system, USC, Art Center College of Design, Caltech, and more.

Program Highlights

  • Pathways (FYE) helps new students get to know PCC, including making connections with support services and other resources to help with the rigorous academics of college study.

  • The Veterans Service Center supports servicemen and women with dedicated programs as they complete their studies.

  • PCC’s Keck Biotechnology Program was the first community college in California to qualify for the state’s stem-cell research program. With more than 15 years of operation, students in the program gain firsthand experience in groundbreaking scientific research.

  • The Noncredit division is the educational avenue for students who are interested in building skills such as English as a second language and medical billing. All noncredit classes are offered free of charge.

  • With 3-D printing and CNC machines, students in the Career and Technical Education division learn by doing in the FabLab and other experiential laboratories. The Welding, Auto, and Construction Inspection shop teach career-focused skills that help students gain employment.
