Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) and University Partnerships

Get guaranteed admission to a four-year college or university!

The Transfer Admission Guarantee/Agreement (TAG/TAA) is a commitment that selected colleges and universities make to PCC students who meet basic transfer requirements. By completing an agreed upon sequence of classes in general education and a selected major with a stated minimum GPA, you can apply to the four-year institution within a prescribed time-frame and be "guaranteed admission."

The Benefits of Signing a TAG/TAA

By signing a TAG/TAA you will get:

  • guaranteed admission to one of the eleven colleges or universities that has an agreement with PCC
  • a specific plan of action to ensure you satisfy the admissions requirements
  • work closely with a PCC counselor to carefully plan your academic work
  • have direct access to university representatives and current information pertaining to your admission

When to Sign a TAG/TAA

When you sign a TAG/TAA depends on the school you plan to TAG. Once you meet the completed unit requirement, your agreement can be written up to one year before you transfer. For example, a TAA may be written in September for the next year's fall term at UC Davis.
