Important Information about our programs
Many of our healthcare programs, especially those that require students to complete clinical education hours within our affiliate clinical sites, will require students to complete medical screenings (including providing proof of immunizations and Tuberculosis testing), drug screening, and criminal background checks. We advise prospective students to take these factors into consideration when considering applying to any of our programs. Our programs, program faculty, administration are committed to contributing to creating safe and therapeutic environments when working within clinical affiliate sites, and as such we take appropriate steps to safeguard both the educational experience for students and maintain the policies of valued clinical partners.
Although the list below is not exhaustive, these are common issues that may prevent students from being eligible for clinical placement at clinical affiliate site:
- Criminal Convictions for interpersonal violence
- Criminal Convictions related to theft, fraud or forgery
- Criminal convictions related to substance abuse (Drug or Alcohol), use or trafficking
- Positive Toxicology Tests for controlled or illicit substances (this includes marijuana, even if prescribed
