Here are a few suggestions for campus involvement and summer programs on and off campus. This is not meant to be a conclusive list of PCC clubs and organizations:

MESA (Math, Engineering, & Science Achievement)

The MESA Program is an academic program that supports PCC students with disadvantaged backgrounds to excel in math, engineering, and the natural sciences so they can transfer to universities with majors in these fields. MESA provides workshops, assistance in the transfer process career advising.

Caduceus Club

Meets every Thursday from 12pm - 1pm in Science Village | SV31

This organization is open to all PCC students who are interested in the health professions including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, chiropractic, optometry, and other fields. Caduceus Club members organize guest speakers to talk about their experience in the health field, participate in volunteer endeavors, and help each other prepare for transferring to a university. This is a great opportunity to gather information to make a career choice and develop some leadership skills. Meets every Thursday from 12pm - 1pm in Science Village 31.

Alpha Gamma Sigma

Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS) is an Honor Society that offers volunteering opportunities, scholarships, and transcript notations. AGS assists students with their goals and helps them build social and professional networks. Their focus is to enrich students with experiences that represent their motto: Excellence, Knowledge, and Wisdom.

The Office of Student Life

Located in the Campus Center, the Office of Student Life offers a wide variety of activities, programs and services. They provide an array of student leadership opportunities and involve students in college governance.  The office sponsors and assists in club programs and events, offers volunteer opportunities on campus and in the community, provides financial assistance in the funding of programs and individual student scholarships.

Campus Clubs

Most clubs meet on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 12pm to 1pm

PCC has over 80 clubs and organizations. Cultural, Political and Academic organizations are well represented. Membership is open to all registered PCC students. Clubs meet the social, academic and cultural needs of PCC students.

PCC Honors Program

This program provides highly motivated students with an enriched educational experience designed to prepare them for a successful transition from community college to university. With partnerships with such institutions as UCLA, Pepperdine University, Pomona College, UC Riverside, Occidental College, and UC Irvine. The Honors Program offers highly enriched academic courses and services provided by specially designated instructional and counseling faculty.
