Our counselors are here to answer your questions and help you plan for academic success. Drop-in anytime during our open hours and a counselor will help answer your questions!
Your visit to counseling begins at the Counseling Welcome Counter in the Counseling Alcove located in L building. Our Counseling Welcome Staff will be ready to help you upon your arrival.
Counselors can support you through the following services:
- Prerequisite Clearance
- Drop-in: During drop-in counseling, a counselor will try to assist you with all of your needs at the drop-in counters. In some cases, they will recommend a follow up appointment if you need an extensive amount of time.
- 45-Minute Appointment: Meet with a counselor for 45 minutes for a comprehensive appointment to address a wide variety of needs.
- Workshops: Counseling offers workshops to support students in a variety of areas:

Comprehensive Educational Plan
If you have never attended college before, you will attend a new student group counseling session after you have applied to PCC, completed your online orientation and checked your English and Math placements in LancerPoint. If you do not see your placements, you may request for placement with your high school transcript using our online prerequisite clearance form.
Bring copies of your previous college and high school transcripts (official or unofficial) and to the counseling center (L building) and follow the counseling process for continuing students.
During drop-in counseling, make sure you request a semester education plan and to clear prerequisites and request for your english and math placements (not automatic).
You need to have a PCC ID# to meet with one of our counselors. If you do not yet have an ID#, first apply to PCC and then come to the counseling center for a drop-in counseling.
