Sandra Chen Lau is the Chief Advancement Officer for the prestigious American Film
Institute and has held similar positions in the nonprofit sector including the Japanese
American National Museum. She also runs her own consulting firm, Trans-Adaptive Philanthropy,
serving charitable organizations including foundations that support local public school
Steve Gibson began on the governing board of the Pasadena Area Community College District
in July 2022. He represents Area 3 which includes Northwest Pasadena and part of southwest
Altadena. PCC Northwest is located in Area 3 on the campus of John Muir High School.
Tammy Silver was elected to the governing board of the Pasadena Area Community College
District in March of 2020. She represents Area 4 which includes the central and eastern
areas of Pasadena and portions of Temple City and unincorporated San Gabriel. She
is proud to have Pasadena City College in her district as well as Temple City High
School and Rose City High School.
Kristine Kwong is an education lawyer representing both public and private sector
entities throughout the State of California in a variety of operational issues such
as labor and employment, student issues, operational compliance, and litigation.
Avery Bradley was elected as Student Trustee of the Pasadena Area Community College District in May 2023. She is a second year Political Science major and plans to transfer to a 4-year university in the Fall of 2024. As the Student Trustee, she serves as a liaison between the Board of Trustees and PCC's student government program Associated Students. This year, Avery Bradley hopes to advocate for students of all backgrounds and ensure that student concerns are represented on proceedings of the Board of Trustees.

Dr. José A. Gómez was confirmed as interim superintendent/president of Pasadena City
College on July 19, 2023. Before arriving at PCC, Dr. Gómez served as executive vice
president, provost, and chief operating officer at California State University, Los
