Goals for the College
The Board has established the following goals to provide direction for the College and to support alignment of day-to-day operations with strategic objectives.
2025-2026 Goals

Board Goal Area 1 – Academic Excellence, Student Success and Service to Students
The Board will set policy and provide support to elevate academic excellence, improve student success outcomes, and ensure access to enhanced services that leverage available technologies in order to effectively support students throughout all stages of their academic journey.
Board Goal Area 2 – Student Enrollment and Access
The Board will support the college’s efforts to increase student access and enrollment across credit, noncredit, dual enrollment, and emerging programs, including increasing enrollment from within the District’s boundaries.
Board Goal Area 3 – Campus Culture and Communication
The Board will work with the CEO to encourage a welcoming and supportive campus climate that supports innovation and risk taking to promote resilience and adaptability and will support efforts to invest in professional development, leadership development, and career advancement opportunities for faculty and staff across the college. The Board will also seek to enhance relationships with the CEO and college constituencies through increased communication and engagement opportunities.
Board Goal Area 4 – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility
The Board will monitor the implementation and progress of the college’s Student Equity Plan and will work with the CEO to support and improve efforts to enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives at the college.
Board Goal Area 5 – Community Engagement
The Board will work with the CEO to enhance the college’s role as a central community resource by fostering robust collaborations with local school districts, government entities, businesses, and community organizations. The Board will also support and facilitate efforts focused on leadership and service for the public good.
Board Goal Area 6 – Improved Board Effectiveness
The Board will monitor the progress of Board goals using regular reports and assessments to promote accountability and effectiveness while also implementing the Board’s self-evaluation process.
Board Goal Area 7 – Finance and Facilities
The Board will monitor the finances of the college and approve a fiscally sound budget amid the continued uncertainty of the state fiscal environment and will continue to monitor the implementation and progress of the Measure PCC bond program and the college’s sustainability and decarbonization goals.
Board Goal Area 8 – Disaster Relief and Recovery
The board will work with the CEO to support and facilitate initiatives focused on rebuilding and revitalizing communities devastated by the Eaton Canyon Fire.
