Completion and Transfer Rates:
In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act (P.L. 101-542), Pasadena City College makes available its Completion and Transfer Rates to all current and prospective students.

To determine PCC’s Completion and Transfer Rates, a specific group of PCC students was tracked for three years, from Fall 1999 through Spring 2002, to determine the outcome of their academic career at PCC. The group consisted of first-time, full-time students who entered PCC in Fall 1999, seeking a degree, certificate, or transfer.*

Based upon this specifically defined group of students, PCC had the following completion and transfer rates. Completion is defined as attained a certificate or degree or completed 56 transferable units with a GPA of 2.0 or better. PCC’s outcomes in all the categories:

Completion . . . . . . . . . . . 39.7%
Transfer . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 20.2%

Comparitive Results

The table below compares PCC’s Completion and Transfer Rates to the California statewide averages:

Completion Rate Transfer Rate
PCC 39.7% and 20.2%
Statewide 34.8% and 23.6%

* These rates may not be representative of the success rates of the entire student population at PCC, nor do they account for student outcomes achieved after the three-year tracking period.
