The Pasadena City College STARS program is a comprehensive program to support the educational goals of current and former foster care students. Our goal is to empower and motivate you to reach your full potential to achieve your academic and career goals, and a measure of self-sufficiency.

By signing up for the STARS program, you will be able to take advantage of the following services:

• Priority Registration: Sign up for your classes early to help make sure you get the courses you need!

• Academic Advisement:  Our STARS advisers can help you with academic and course planning.

• Personal Guidance and Mentoring: Whether it's academic or personal issues, our counselors are here to support you.

• Connection to college support service programs

• One-on-one life skills and crisis management advising

• Academic Tutoring: Our specialized tutoring can give you extra instructional help on all academic subjects.

• Financial assistance: with textbooks, meals and transportation

• Referrals to county and community resources

• Field trips to universities and student conferences

• One-on-one financial aid assistance: including help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Chafee Grant application

• Assistance for incoming students with the PCC application process
