Orientation is the mandatory check-in for all new and returning international students. Please make travel plans to arrive on time to attend mandatory orientation. 

Part 1: Online Orientation

Part 1 of orientation consists of Online Orientation, which should be completed before class registration starts. Class registration dates are posted on your LancerPoint account. New international students can also receive additional registration support through an appointment with an Academic Counselor. To schedule an appointment with an Academic Counselor, visit "How to Schedule an Appointment".  

• To complete Online Orientation, first activate your LancerPoint account. If you do not know how to activate your account, refer to email instructions from our department or visit the New Student Checklist for details.
  
  
• Complete Online Orientation before registering for classes and before arriving at PCC. 

Part 2: JAM Orientation

Part 2 of Orientation consists of JAM Orientation, a 3-day in-person welcome where students learn about support services at PCC, connect with new and current students, and learn skills to excel as a student at PCC. JAM Orientation is mandatory for all new and returning PCC international students.

Attending JAM Orientation will qualify you for priority class registration, which means you get to select classes earlier than other students who do not attend orientation.

JAM Orientation Dates

International students can only register for ONE of the following sessions. Your visa and I-20 will only allow you to enter in time for these two sessions. Please do not register for other JAM Orientation days other than these ones or you risk being turned back at U.S. customs at the airport.

• The nearest parking lot to Creveling Lounge is Lot 11. Remember to pay for your parking by cash or credit card through the yellow parking permit machines

Documents to Bring to JAM Orientation

• Copy of your signed I-20
• Copy of your passport
• Copy of y our F-1 visa
• Copy of your I-94 record, which can be retrieved ONLY after you arrive in the U.S. Download your I-94 here
• New International Student Check-In Form

Additional Information

• JAM Orientation is mandatory for all new and returning PCC international students
• There are multiple JAM Orientation dates. Your I-20 will allow entry for ONLY the last two JAM Orientations. Please DO NOT register for the earlier JAM Orientations or you can be turned away at airport customs when you enter the U.S.
