How to Receive Tutoring in Math

You do not need an appointment to get help! All you need to do is visit R406, check-in on the check-in computer by swiping your Lancer ID, then sign up on the tutoring clipboard as well as the iPad. You will be given a number to place on your table so the tutor can find you.

Prepare for Help

To make the most of your time, you are required to complete the following before you meet with someone for help:

  1. Please remember to bring your textbook (or e-book) and notes along with your questions. You should attempt the homework problem first on your own. If you get stuck, prepare a specific question, then ask for help.

  2. If you are absent from a class, make sure to obtain the lecture notes and review all material before coming for assistance in the Math Success Center. Remember, only your instructor gives lectures.
