Peer Health Educators are student leaders who support Student Health Services and Mental Health & Wellness by educating fellow students, promoting healthy lifestyles, and connecting them to the care they need. They help create a supportive, informed, and thriving campus environment at Pasadena City College.

As a Peer Health Educator, you will work on outreach campaigns, build awareness around health topics, and help host events like wellness workshops and campus-wide health fairs. You will also assist with social media, flyers, and community engagement, while gaining valuable real-world experience.

You will receive training that builds your skills in communication, collaboration, time management, and leadership, all while learning how to connect students with essential resources. From managing daily administrative tasks to planning big events, you will become a go-to resource on campus.

Compensation: $17 per hour
Bonus: You will grow your resume, grow your circle, and help PCC grow healthier, one student at a time.

The health center gives support; we are the voice that points you there.

Duties and Responsibilities

Peer Health Educators serve as ambassadors for Student Health Services and Mental Health and Wellness. They provide health education to the student body, raise awareness about available resources, and help reduce stigma around mental and physical health. PHEs support outreach efforts by leading classroom presentations, tabling at campus events, promoting wellness through social media, and assisting with the planning and execution of health fairs. They also help with administrative tasks, create health education materials, and collaborate with other campus departments. As peer leaders, PHEs foster inclusive environments and act as a bridge between students and the support services available at Pasadena City College.
