Complete the beginning journalism course and you will be eligible to become writers and editors at the Courier, the independent publication that has served the campus for more than 100 years.
The hands-on Courier classes allow you to write, report, publish and gain the experience necessary to work in media or transfer to universities with the Journalism AA-T.
If you are interested in news photography, you can begin publishing photographs in the Courier by taking the beginning photojournalism course. Students in that class work as staff photographers for the student publication, where they'll team up with writers and editors to shoot, edit and publish photos and videos on the Courier site and its social media accounts.
