Important Update on Federal Financial Aid

We understand that a recent announcement regarding a temporary pause in federal financial assistance may have caused confusion and concern for PCC students. The U.S. Department of Education has confirmed that the pause does not include assistance provided directly to individuals. The Office of Financial Aid will continue to process aid for students without interruption.  

*Please know that state aid programs such as Cal Grant, Student Success Completion Grant and the Chafee grant are managed by state agencies and are unaffected by this federal action.

Dear PCC Student:We understand that a recent announcement from the White House regarding a potential temporary pause in federal financial assistance may have caused confusion and concern. We want to reassure you that the U.S. Department of Education and the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office have confirmed this pause does not include financial assistance provided directly to individuals. 

At Pasadena City College, the Office of Financial Aid will continue to process and distribute financial aid for our students without interruption. Supporting you on your educational journey remains our top priority, and we are committed to ensuring you have the resources you need to succeed.

While we monitor this situation closely, please know that we will keep you informed of any significant updates on the Financial Aid website. In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns about your financial aid, don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. We’re here for you.

Receiving your Financial Aid

Your disbursement (financial aid refund) will be delivered to you with BankMobile Disbursements. Typically, you will receive two refunds each term.
