Each semester at PCC, 26,100+ students work toward degrees, transfer programs, and certificates. We serve new and returning students, online learners, students from the local community and from countries all over the world. PCC students span many cultures—LGBT, multicultural, veterans, and everyone else in between.
Community colleges serve close to half of the undergraduate students in the United States. Community colleges are the gateway to postsecondary education for many minority, low income, and first-generation college students.
At PCC, 72% of students are younger than 24 and 45% of students attend part-time. Eighty percent of students attend PCC with their tuition waived or reduced.
In terms of ethnicity, 51% of PCC students are Latino, 24% are Asian, 15% are White, 4% are Black or African American.
PCC students can choose from a wide array of learning experiences. The college offers 149 Associate Degree programs, 116 Certificate of Achievement programs, and 48 Noncredit Certificate programs.
