What is needed?
All programs, are consistent with the institution’s mission, are appropriate to higher education, and culminate in student attainment of identified student learning outcomes, and achievement of degrees, certificates, employment, or transfer to other higher education programs.
One example of what we do:
The Curriculum and Instruction committee ensures courses, programs and degrees align with the college mission and have student learning outcomes. Alignment to the California C-ID numbering system assures transferability of courses.
Section IIB: Library and Learning Support Services
What is needed?
PCC supports student learning and achievement by providing library and other learning support services to students and to personnel responsible for student learning and support.
One example of what we do:
PCC supports the work of students, staff, and faculty in the Library and in its learning support centers with sufficient resources to promote student learning and achievement. Learning support services are varied in type and function, including computer labs, diverse library collections, tutoring centers, and instructional activities.

What is needed?
PCC regularly evaluates the quality of student support services and demonstrates that these services, regardless of location or means of delivery, support student learning, and enhance accomplishment of our mission.
One example of what we do:
PCC has a comprehensive assessment and review process, which includes a handbook and an active assessment committee. Through our annual update and comprehensive program review processes, we ensure that our student support services and programs align with the mission of the institution.
