Pasadena City College’s One Book, One College program demonstrates our commitment to providing a shared intellectual experience that increases student engagement while fostering a rich dialogue among all campus constituents.  Each year a diverse committee of faculty and staff collaborate to select the book, and representatives from the Cross Cultural Center, Campus Diversity Initiative and PCCFirst Year Experience collaborate to offer varied programming as part of the accompanying Speaker Series.  The entire campus and community are invited to attend these free offerings.  The culminating event is the First Year Experience Student Conference, during which over 2,200 first year students present their original research inspired by the One Book, One College selection.
