Cross Cultural Retreat
Our Cross Cultural Retreat is held annually in the spring semester. Students, staff, and faculty can participate in a three-day off-campus residential retreat that focuses on discussing issues of equity and social justice. Applications are available at the Cross Cultural Center early spring semester.
Borders of Diversity
In partnership with the English Department, the Cross Cultural Center annually co-hosts the Borders of Diversity student conference. Students are invited to present and discuss their papers in the style of an academic conference, and a guest speakers is invited to present a keynote speech discussing the conference theme.
Every semester, representatives from numerous local organizations set up in the quad during the Volunteer Fair to recruit volunteers and offer internships to students interested in their causes. Check our CollegiateLink site for the latest information about our next fair!
Students have the opportunity to explore the legacy of Japanese-American incarceration in the United States. Every April, the CCC attends the annual pilgrimage to Manzanar, an internment camp that was used to “relocate” Japanese-American citizens and residents during World War II.
