Día de los Muertos
October 31 – November 2
Día de los Muertos, is a Mexican tradition that celebrates the lives and memories of loved ones who have passed away. Rooted in Indigenous traditions, it is a time for families and communities to come together through ofrendas (altars), marigolds, photographs, music, food, and storytelling.
At Pasadena City College, EQUIPO, ALE, PRIDE, the Transfer Center, Office of Student Life, Noncredit Division, Associated Students, and many more come together each year to celebrate Día de los Muertos. Join us as we learn about this meaningful tradition, celebrate our cultures, share stories, and remember our ancestors and loved ones who came before us.
The Meaning of Día de los Muertos
A Season of Remembrance, Love, and Connection
For many, Día de los Muertos is a time to honor family traditions, remember loved ones, and celebrate the memories that keep us connected. For some, it is a joyful celebration filled with music, food, and storytelling. For others, it is a time for quiet reflection and remembrance
At PCC, we welcome everyone to join us in celebrating the lives, stories, and traditions that connect our families and communities.
