In addition to our ESL Certificate Programs, we also offer individual ESL courses to enhance your language skills. These courses do not have Prerequisites (no placement tests are required).

Certificates are not offered for individual ESL condensed and targeted skills courses. 

Courses Offered:

These courses can be completed in a shorter time frame than regular ESL level classes. Each class consists of a total of 72 hours per semester and does not require a placement test. 

  • ESLN 1000 - English as a Second Language, Literacy Level - Condensed
  • ESLN 1001 - English as a Second Language, Level 1 - Condensed
  • ESLN 1002 - English as a Second Language, Level 2 - Condensed
  • ESLN 1003 - English as a Second Language, Level 3 - Condensed
  • ESLN 1004 - English as a Second Language, Level 4 - Condensed
  • ESLN 1005 - English as a Second Language, Level 5 - Condensed

These are supplemental courses to enhance your English skills. They can be taken individually and do not require a placement test.

  1. Check course availability in Schedule of Classes

    To find ESL courses in the class schedule, look for the subject “ESL Noncredit”.

  2. Choose which type of student you are:

    Follow these steps if you are new to PCC OR returning after an absence of 1 or more major semester(s):

    1. Apply to Noncredit
      • Create an OpenCCC account if you don’t have one already.

    2. Receive Welcome Letter via email

    3. Activate your LancerPoint account

    4. Check your Registration Status Date in LancerPoint

    5. Register for classes in LancerPoint using CRN# 

    Follow these steps if you are a current or continuing PCC student (noncredit or credit):

    1. Check your Registration Status Date in LancerPoint

    2. Register for classes in LancerPoint using CRN#
