Adult Basic Education (ABE)
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program provides the essential skills for academic advancement to the Adult High School Diploma (AHSD) or General Educational Development (GED) programs.
The Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program is designed to prepare students in language arts and mathematics and advance to the Adult High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) programs.

Complete the following courses to earn a certificate!
- ABE 3001 - Language Arts
- ABE 3002 - Mathematics
Restrictions:ABE courses have restrictions. You must meet with a Counselor to be able to register for these classes. Visit our Counseling Services page for more information about how to schedule an appointment.
A Certificate of Competency is awarded upon successful completion of all required courses.
Request Your Certificate
If you have completed and passed all of the required courses in each program, submit the petition form “Petition for Certificate of Competency.”
