The 2023 1098-T Form is now available.

Pasadena City College District (PCC) is providing you the form known as 1098-T, in order to help you determine whether you or the person who may claim you as a dependent, qualifies for a federal tax credit.  

PCC has provided the forms in compliance with the IRS guidelines. However, we cannot offer any tax advice on this issue. Please contact the IRS or your tax consultant for further information.  


Frequently Asked Questions about Form 1098-T

Eligible educational institutions are required by the federal government to provide Form 1098-T to students for whom qualified tuition and fees were paid in calendar year 2023.

  1. Login to your LancerPoint account
  2. Find the Billing and Payments Card
  3. Click on Tax Forms
  4. Click on 1098-T Tax Notification
  5. Type 2023 in the “Enter a Tax Year” field
  6.  Click Submit
  • Box 1 - Shows the total payments received by an eligible educational institution in 2023 from any source for qualified tuition and related expenses less any reimbursements or refunds made during 2023 that relate to those payments received during 2023.  
  • Box 2 - Not applicable.
  • Box 3 - Not applicable.
  • Box 4 - Adjustments made for a prior year
  • Box 5 - Shows the total of all Financial Aid, including grants, scholarships and third party payments.  Loans are not included.
  • Box 6 - Shows adjustments to Financial Aid for a prior year.
  • Box 7 - Shows whether the amount in Box 1 includes amounts for an academic period beginning January-March 2024.
  • Box 8 - Shows whether you are considered to be carrying at least one-half the normal full-time workload for your course of study. If you are at least a half-time student for at least one academic period that begins during the year, you meet one of the requirements for the Hope credit.
  • Box 9 - Not applicable.
  • Box 10 - Not applicable.

  • You do not have a Social Security Number on file with Pasadena City College.
  • The IRS does not require us to provide you one if your scholarship and / or financial aid (including formal billing arrangements with employers or governmental agencies) exceed or is equal to the paid amount.
  • You attended Pasadena City College in Spring 2023 but you had enrolled and paid in calendar year 2022.
  • We do not have a valid United States mailing address on file for you.
  • You are classified as a non-resident alien.
