Pasadena City College is pleased to host The Vagina Monologues, a play written by Eve Ensler, on February 23 at 12:30 p.m. and February 24 at 6 p.m. The performances will take place in the Center for the Arts Theatre, and admission is a $10 suggested donation.

Sponsored by PCC's Cross Cultural Center, the Psychology Club, and the Feminist Club, 18 students will perform in the event to raise awareness regarding violence against women and girls as well as social stigmas related to that violence. The play's producers, Jennifer Fiebig and Jennifer Noble, are both psychology professors who teach Human Sexuality. Their goal for this performance is to help students shine a spotlight on social justice issues while also giving back to their community. The proceeds will be donated to Shepherd's Door of Pasadena, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence through relationship education, financial empowerment, youth violence prevention awareness, and direct rescue intervention.

More information about the staging and the collaboration is available from Jennifer Fiebig (jfiebig@pasadena.edu).
