This summer, PCC is launching a new system to issue refunds to students who are owed money
from financial aid or other payments to the college.
Through a partnership with the financial services firm BankMobile, past and present PCC students will receive refunds more quickly and – for the first
time ever – with the option to accept a direct deposit to a bank account of their
The new system will streamline the refund process by reducing paperwork and processing
times at the college while providing students with a pathway toward establishing their
In order to select their refund preference, students need to follow a simple process:
Enter the Personal Code. This would have arrived in the green BankMobile envelope, and also in an email to
the go.pasadena.edu email address on file. (Still can’t find the code? You can generate
a new one on the BankMobile website.)
Select the method of payment:
Direct deposit to a bank account. Money is transferred to an existing account the same business day. Typically, it
takes 1-2 business days for the receiving bank to credit the money to the account.
Deposit to a BankMobile “Vibe” Checking Account. If a student needs a checking account, the BankMobile Vibe account offers many convenient
services, including a nationwide ATM network and online bill pay. Refund money is
deposited the same business day BankMobile receives funds from PCC.
Paper check delivered by US Mail. A check is mailed the same business day BankMobile receives funds, provided receipt
is within daily cutoff times. Typically, it takes 5-7 business days for the check
