Committee reviewed documents from UC FAQs and LAUSD. Members will review documents and determine recommendations/ questions for when President Vurdien and Alex Boeckeheilde issue their first draft of a procedure, per the Board's resolution. Per Cecilia, President Vurdien indicated that the procedure will be ready soon for the committee's review. Committee suggested that undocumented students should review the draft before the final procedure is solidified Kathy Kottaras will email Alex to let him know she is the chair and to follow up. 2. Discussion about Safe Zones Center to include undocumented students, LGBTQ+ students, and Muslim students. All communities have been consulted, and they agree that due to the national, state, and local political climate, and the intersectional alliance is important and necessary. Committee agreed that it would be more appropriate for the space to be named the Safe Zone Center instead of the Undocumented Center to serve the three communities 3. Committee agreed to include a classified remember. Yajaira de la Paz is interested in serving on the committee; Graciela, who serves on the classified academic Senate, cc-d on the notes. Graciela will then bring it back to the Classified Senate. (Thank you, Graciela!) 4. Kathy Kottaras voted as Chair of Ad Hoc committee 5.
