Financial aid is any source of funds that are available to help you pay for college. We recommend that you submit a financial aid application to see what you may qualify for! 

If you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, complete the FAFSA application.

If you are NOT a US Citizen or Permanent Resident but meet AB 540 criteria, you may be eligible for the California Dream Act.

  • The PCC School Code is 1261.
  • Remember that you will need to apply for financial aid every academic year.

After you apply to PCC, you will receive an email with your LancerPoint ID number and link to set up your LancerPoint portal account.

  • You may need to wait up to 72 hours to receive your welcome email. 
  • Set up your LancerPoint immediately to be able to continue with the rest of the steps.
  • Take a picture of your username and security questions.

The online orientation will make you an expert on everything PCC!

  • To start the Orientation, login with your LancerPoint User Name and Password.
  • The online Orientation takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and includes YouTube videos. 
  • You can complete the orientation on your smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

To use credits from your previous college to clear prerequisites for a PCC course, you will need to submit an online prerequisite clearance request for each class. Remember to attach your unofficial transcript and/or AP scores (when printing from your college portal, change your printer to PDF to save as an electronic copy or scan your unofficial transcript as a PDF)
Not sure if your class has a prerequisite?  Check the course description by searching for the class in the online schedule of classes.


Our Short Term Counseling Request can be used to get your Student Educational Plan. Before you submit the request, make sure you:

  • Have an electronic copy of your unofficial university transcript (or high school) to attach to your request 
  • Know which class(es) you wish to take (Example: ECON 1A)
  • After submitting your request, a counselor will email you at your PCC email within 4-7 business days (may take longer during peak times).
Important COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
If you are registering for in-person classes, you must upload your vaccination records before you will be able to register. 

If you are registering for online classes only, no vaccination clearance is required.
