The Foundation

Throughout our history, we've raised millions of dollars for projects essential to faculty, students and staff, including equipment, new technology, special services programs and scholarships.

Our roots date back to 1924 when the original Scholarship Fund Association paved the way for what the Foundation has evolved into today. Subsequently, we incorporated as the Pasadena City College Foundation in 1979 and went on to become an auxiliary organization of PCC in 1984.

In 2007, the Scholarship Fund Association merged with the PCC Foundation to ensure community oversight . Soon thereafter, a transformative donation of over $5 million from the Robert and Adrienne Westerbeck estate increased our holdings to $20 million and catapulted us into the top five community college foundations in the state of California.

Today, we oversee $27 million in assets. Our commitment to creating opportunities that preserve and strengthen the College's rich tradition of excellence is the key to all activities of the Pasadena City College Foundation.
