Dreamkeepers Emergency Financial Assistance program is here to help PCC students if a financial crisis crops up which threatens your ability to stay in college.
What is Dreamkeepers
Dreamkeepers is a project of Scholarship America, and is meant to help out in times of unforeseen financial emergencies, which can happen at any time. Dreamkeepers will cover certain eligible expenses, such as utilities, rent, medical and dental costs, or automobile expenses. It’s a one-time deal, and you can’t use the money for books- or tuition-related expenses. But if you find yourself in financial hardship you couldn’t have foreseen, and it means you may seriously need to drop out of college in order to take care of it, then Dreamkeepers might be able to help.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

- Be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units
- Have completed at least one semester at PCC
- Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or higher
- Have a verifiable street and e-mail address
- Be facing a verifiable, unforeseen financial emergency
Ineligible Expenses Includes: Tuition, school fees, books, legal expenses, nicotine or any other controlled substance.
If you do not meet one or more of the eligibility requirements above, you should contact the Dreamkeeps College Administrator at 626-585-7803 to discuss your situation.
To apply for Dreamkeepers, complete the the online application at pasadena.dreamkeepers.org and upload or submit legible copies of bills, receipts, or estimates verifying your financial emergency. Note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
After your completed application has been submitted, you should be prepared to discuss your financial emergency and provide additional documentation if requested. After the interview, you will be notified of the decision.
