Financial aid is any source of funds that are available to help you pay for college. Most types of financial aid come from federal and state programs, which require completing the FAFSA application.

If you are not a US Citizen or permanent resident but meet AB 540 criteria, you may be eligible for the California Dream Act.

We recommend that you submit a financial aid application for the 2020-2021 academic year to see what you may qualify for!

  • The PCC School Code is 1261.
  • Remember that you will need to apply for financial aid every academic year.
  • If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact us at

To activate your LancerPoint account, you must have your PCC ID# and username . You should have received both of these in an email within 72 hours of applying to PCC. If you did not receive them, please contact us at

It’s important to know your English and Math placements so that a counselor can help you select the right classes. This information is automatically placed in your LancerPoint account if you provided your GPA and the last Math and English classes you took in high school.

  • Log into your LancerPoint account. On the landing page, you’ll see three badges under “My Achievements.” If the second badge, called “Placement Completed,” is red and gold, click on it to find your course placement information. If the tile is gray, you will get your course placements when you set up a one-on-one appointment with a counselor during New Student Counseling (NSC).
  • In order for the counselor to appropriately place you in college-level Math and English, you will need to know your non-weighted cumulative GPA along with the final grades you received in your Math and English classes.
  • If you feel that your course placement for English and/or math is incorrect, a counselor can help make that change when you schedule a one-on-one appointment with them during NSC. Remember to have your non-weighted cumulative GPA along with the final grades you received in your math and English class ready.

New Student Counseling (NSC) is now online! Once you complete your NSC session, you will be asked to submit an intake form for a counselor to review and develop an educational plan for Summer and/or Fall. Once your educational plan is complete, you can find your educational plan in Lancer Plan. Instructions on how to access your plan will be sent to your PCC email. The processing time is about 7-12 days. Thank you for your patience.

  • For your health and safety, New Student Counseling will be online.
