Tech Savvy is a daylong conference sponsored by National AAUW and designed to develop girls’ interest and self-confidence in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines. It is very similar to our long-running Science Day for Middle School Girls, with hands-on workshops covering a wide range of STEM topics, and we will now be including College Savvy sessions on the experience of applying for and attending college, Savvy Skills sessions on the “soft” skills needed to be a successful professional in the 21st century, and adult workshops for parents to learn about how to support their daughters’ interests in STEM careers and college.
