ParkingSpeech and Debate Team
Join our nationally ranked Speech and Debate team. Whether you're an experienced competitor or a beginner looking to get started in forensics, we have a spot for you.
As a member of the Speech and Debate team, you may choose to compete in individual
or group events including: debate, informative and persuasive speaking, reader's theater,
or oral interpretation.
Our squad travels to competitions at the local, state, and national level. Plus, we host our own tournament, The Watson-Lancer, at the end of every October.
Speech and Debate Accomplishments
Our Speech and Debate team has a long history of success. Most recently, during the 2014-2015 season, the PCC Speech and Debate team placed 6th in the state at the CCCFA State Championship tournament. We went on to win multiple National gold medals in the mid-school division and placed 4th in nation in individual events at the Phi Rho Pi Community College National Forensic Tournament.
