Transfer to a University of California (UC)
Recommendations:
- For further information on the transfer process to the University of California,
please make an appointment with a counselor in the Counseling Office (L-104)
and meet with a UC representative in the Transfer Center.
- For more information about transfers to UC, check out "Answers
for Transfers", Introducing
the University , $&Sense@UC and
attend a Learn to Transfer Orientation.
- Complete lower division coursework in your major. Although completion
of course in your major is not required for admission unless your major
is impacted, it is highly recommended that you begin taking your lower
dividion major coursework while you are at PCC. Check out the Transfer
Requirements Tool to find a major and school.
- Look into PCC's Scholars
Program with
the following UC campuses: UCLA, UC Irvine, Requirements to get into and
complete these programs vary from campus to campus, so please make an appointment
with a counselor to discuss your various options.
- Your essay is also another important component to the admissions process.
In short, this is an opportunity for you to "tell your story" and to account
for any irregularities in your academic records or obstacles you have overcome.
- If you are ready to submit an application for the upcoming Spring or Fall
Semester we encourage you attend a Transfer
Workshop to learn more about applying to the UC.
- If you are a PCC student, you may apply using a paper application available
in the Transfer Center or via the Internet at Applications
to CSU, UC, & Private Universities.
