Welcome to the Program for Academic Support Service (PASS)

The Program for Academic Support Services (PASS) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is designed to increase the retention, graduation and transfer rates of students who are returning to college in unsatisfactory academic standing.  Programs and services offered to insure student success include the following:

  • Tutoring and academic preparation resources
  • Academic, Financial Aid, Career and Personal counseling
  • Skill development workshops
  • Four-year college field trips
  • Cultural and Educational activities
  • Referral to a variety of other campus services

The PASS staff offer a friendly and supportive atmosphere that includes frequent contact and follow-up with participants throughout their academic journey.  The staff includes a director, counselors, clerical support staff, tutors and student assistants.  The PASS staff can provide highly individualized and personal guidance to each participant.

If you are committed to transferring and getting your Bachelor's degree and you need some academic support to get you there, contact the PASS Office.  Visit us in the "L" building, room 107 or call us at (626) 585-7815.

Student Learning Outcomes/Support Services Outcomes:

  • As a result of receiving services from PASS, participants will persist in their studies to the next academic year.
  • As a result of receiving services from PASS, participants will remain in good academic standing at the end of each academic year.
  • As a result of receiving services from PASS, participants will either graduate or transfer to a four-year college or university within 3 year of their admission into the program.
