Welcome to Program for Academic Support Service (PASS)
The program for academic support services (PASS) is funded by the U.S. Department
of Education and operates in conjunction with the Extended Opportunity Program
and Services, PASS is designed to increase the retention and graduation rates
of students who are returning to college in unsatisfactory academic standing.
Devices designed to insure student success include the following activities:
- Individualized tutoring
- Academic and personal counseling
- Workshops in study skills, stress reduction, etc.
- Referral to a variety of other campus services
The program's staff offer a friendly support atmosphere that includes frequent
contacts and follow-ups with eligible students throughout their academic program.
The staff includes a director, counselors, clerical support staff, career guidance
assistance, tutors, and student assistants. The PASS staff can provide a small
number of students highly individualized and personal guidance.
