P.A.S.S. Eligibility Requirements

MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY

In order to qualify to receive PASS services, all applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria set forth by the U.S. Department of Education:

  1. Be a Low-Income student based on federal income guidelines.  OR
  2. Be a First Generation college student.  This means that neither of your parents have a college degree.  OR
  3. Have a verified Disability that limits your ability to fully participate in the educational process at PCC.

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

In addition to the above criteria, applicants must also meet one or more of the following:

  1. Did not graduate from high school with a diploma
  2. Completed a GED
  3. Have a high school or college GPA below a 2.50
  4. Have been or currently on Academic Probation or Academic Disqualification at PCC
  5. Taking Math and English classes at the Basic Skills level
  6. Taking the English as a Second Language (ESL) sequence
  7. Highly motivated in their education and have a plan to transfer to a four-year institution.
