News: PCC To Offer Academic Trip To Mexico This Winter

Pasadena City College will be providing students and the community with an opportunity to study abroad in Guadalajara, Mexico during the upcoming winter intersession, from Jan. 24 to Feb. 14. The cost of the program is $2,150.

The three-week-long program will pair English 47: Mexican and Chicano Literature with History 24D: Major Figures in Mexican and Chicano Art. The program will center on exploring the composite Hispano-indigenous art and culture of Mexico and the Chicano experience. Topics will include art, politics, history, culture, gender, religion, and language. The program will also include four class sessions at PCC prior to departing to Mexico.

Those interested in the program are encouraged to attend one of the informational meetings on Oct. 1 from noon to 1 p.m. or 5 to 6 p.m., in Room C361.
