Orientation
All Pasadena City College newly admitted freshman
or transfer students who are trying out for an athletic team
are required to attend an orientation before they can enroll in
classes.
Each summer and winter, the Zone holds a group orientation for
new student-athletes on the PCC Campus. The orientation reviews
academic requirements, eligibility, and academic planning. Students
are introduced to Zone staff, department representatives, and counselors.
Our tutorial staff is comprised of individuals who are both knowledgeable
in their respective subject areas and trained in effective approaches
to learning. Covering mostly Math and English courses, our tutors
coordinates with specific departments and PCC resources for additional
tutoring in other disciplines ranging from sciences, humanities,
social sciences, and foreign languages.
