An occupational program is one whose primary goal is to prepare students for employment or an upgrade of job skills.
Upon completion of the specified curriculum for each occupational program area, students may petition in the Records Office for issuance of Certificates of Achievement or Completion. Students interested in developing advanced levels of proficiency in an occupational area may pursue a Certificate of Achievement, which requires the completion of 18 units or more.
Pasadena City College currently offers more than 70 certificate programs in 37 different subject areas. The programs and the requirements for successful completion are listed below. Additional information is available in the
Career and Technical Education Handbook.
Each of the following occupational curricula leading to a Certificate of Completion prepares students for entrance into an occupation.
